Nuova Sabatini Capitalisation: apply correctly and check your invoices

An Italian SME planning an eligible equipment investment alongside a capital increase may assess the Nuova Sabatini Capitalisation measure. Support is not automatic: eligibility, an accurate application and the investment itself must be checked.

Who may apply

The measure is aimed at small and medium-sized companies incorporated as capital companies, linking a share-capital increase to an eligible equipment investment. General Nuova Sabatini requirements, the bank loan or lease, and capital-increase conditions also need review.

Dates and deadlines

Applications for the Capitalisation line have been possible since 1 October 2024. The Ministry’s application page, checked on 1 October 2026, does not specify a general closing date. Check current funding availability, instructions and forms before proceeding.

Application process

The application must be completed through the Ministry’s online platform. Once digitally signed, it is sent from the company’s certified email address to the certified email address of a participating bank or financial intermediary selected for the financing.

Project code on invoices

The platform provides a Codice Unico di Progetto (CUP). Ministry guidance says electronic invoices for subsidised goods, including advance invoices, must include the CUP in the appropriate field and separately cite “art. 2, c. 4, D.L. n. 69/2013”. Coordinate with the supplier before invoices are issued.

A practical check

Prepare the purchase plan, verify asset eligibility, compare financing terms and assess the capital increase with qualified advisers. Keep the operation’s documents and use the Ministry’s current application guide. Approval and contribution amount depend on the applicable rules and assessment.
