Specialist skills: 50% grant for SMEs in Southern Italy

The second window funds employee training in technological innovation and the green and digital transitions. Applications are ranked: project quality and consistency matter more than submission speed.

Eligible applicants

Micro, small and medium-sized enterprises located in Basilicata, Calabria, Campania, Molise, Puglia, Sardinia and Sicily may apply. Applicants must be active, have at least one approved financial statement and meet the other regulatory requirements.

Projects and spending limits

Training must develop employee skills in technological innovation, STEP technologies and the green or digital transition. Eligible expenditure per business must range from €10,000 to €60,000. Integrated multi-region projects may involve up to ten enterprises.

Grant

Under the de minimis framework, the grant covers 50% of eligible expenditure. Integrated multi-region projects receive an additional 20 percentage points for micro and small enterprises and 10 points for medium-sized enterprises.

Provider and contract

Training must be delivered by qualified professionals or independent providers with significant, documented experience. The supplier contract must be signed after the application is submitted.

Deadline and selection

Applications must be filed through Invitalia’s personal area by 12:00 noon on 21 December 2026. Selection is based on a ranking under the official criteria; filing does not guarantee funding.

Practical action

Before filing, check company eligibility, training content, the provider’s experience and independence, budget, schedule, participating staff and potential score. Businesses that applied in the previous window cannot apply again, even for a different training programme.
