GreenTour 2026: final day to apply

The application window closes today, 8 October 2026, at 5:00 pm. The scheme supports energy and digital investment by tourism businesses, but applications require a fully structured and documented project.

Eligible applicants

Italian and foreign businesses established in Italy, of any size, may apply if they operate in tourism. Business owners of tourism facilities may also apply using the operator’s qualifying requirements. Businesses active for at least three years must show that more than 50% of turnover derives from tourism activities.

Programme size and structure

Eligible programmes must range from €1 million to €15 million. Core energy-efficiency or renewable-energy measures must represent at least 51% of eligible expenditure. Connected measures may include digitalisation, automation, smart metering, ESG investments and consumption reduction.

Support

Within the applicable State-aid limits, the predefined package consists of 54% grant and 46% subsidised financing. The actual intensity and amount depend on the applicable aid regime, eligible costs and the assessed project.

Deadline and procedure

Applications are filed online through Invitalia’s personal area. The extended deadline is 5:00 pm on 8 October 2026. Digital identity, digital signature, certified email and the required attachments are necessary. Starting the online form does not amount to filing it.

Practical action

Applicants with a mature project should immediately verify attachments, signatures, financial size, the 51% energy threshold, applicant eligibility and successful filing. A complex investment should not be improvised merely to meet today’s deadline.
